Fight! An iconic moment in American history.

On Monday I made a choice. I locked myself in my studio for 72 hours straight and painted something I believe matters to all Americans, regardless of political affiliation.

When I decided to go ahead and paint this piece, I was thinking of the quote from Ronald Reagan, that I believe forms the basis of American democracy:

“If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth” - RR

The attempted assassination of the former president and presidential candidate Donald Trump is an attack on all Americans and on our way of life.

The image that inspired this painting is a truly iconic moment in our democracy, as powerful a symbol as you will see of our principles of democracy and freedom.
