First Teaser - New Painting đ
Hereâs your first look at my 7Ă12-foot piece.
Now, Iâm not going to reveal the entire story just yet, but if youâve been paying attention, youâll remember the hint I dropped last week:
âWhen the storm just doesnât seem to stop.â.
About the Process:
For Jesusâ face, I looked to a certain historical artifact to bring an extra layer of authenticity to His likeness. Iâll share more about that once the painting is complete and youâve seen the full scene.
But hereâs something I can tell you now:
That glowing orange background? Itâs a wash underpaint. A mixture of gold and nickel azo fluid acrylic paint.
When I think of Jesusâwhether itâs His teachings, Biblical landscapes, or powerful scenes like thisâI always imagine an undertone of gold running through it all.
Every single one of my Biblical paintings contains layers of fine gold paints blended into them. Itâs what gives the pieces that ethereal, sacred look thatâs become part of my style.

Would you prefer to collect a biblical scene depicting a miraculous action OR a quiet, reflective moment (e.g., Jesus in prayer) |
This is just the beginning of this piece. More updates soon.
I canât wait to share the entire piece with you and dive into its meaning and process once itâs complete.
See you next Friday with another look,
Sam Ryan
