First Teaser - New Painting 🌊

Here’s your first look at my 7×12-foot piece.

Now, I’m not going to reveal the entire story just yet, but if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll remember the hint I dropped last week:

“When the storm just doesn’t seem to stop.”.

About the Process:

For Jesus’ face, I looked to a certain historical artifact to bring an extra layer of authenticity to His likeness. I’ll share more about that once the painting is complete and you’ve seen the full scene.

But here’s something I can tell you now:

That glowing orange background? It’s a wash underpaint. A mixture of gold and nickel azo fluid acrylic paint.

When I think of Jesus—whether it’s His teachings, Biblical landscapes, or powerful scenes like this—I always imagine an undertone of gold running through it all.

Every single one of my Biblical paintings contains layers of fine gold paints blended into them. It’s what gives the pieces that ethereal, sacred look that’s become part of my style.

This is just the beginning of this piece. More updates soon.

I can’t wait to share the entire piece with you and dive into its meaning and process once it’s complete.

See you next Friday with another look,
