Here's the secret to my paintings.

Sneak Peek at my latest 2 works in progress

These past two weeks I have been going back and forth painting Elvis and Princess Diana.

Working on multiple paintings simultaneously has proven to be the approach that helps me prevent burnout and make some intriguing color choices.(Trust me, it might sound weird, but it works wonders!)

For the magnificent Princess Diana I’ve combined partial charcoal paired with soft acrylics, resulting in a captivating blend. Here’s a quick glimpse of the process:

This roller is actually for laying ink in printmaking- a small hack for artists that want a smooth rolling surface.

To capture the essence of Elvis I’m going with full on acrylics (hard and soft body) with some acrylic gouache(a highly opaque paint with a cool 50’s matte finish).

This Elvis piece will be an exciting departure compared to my previous full body painting of him. Im headed in a new direction with this one.

And let’s not forget about the secret sauce of my art—paint brands that play a crucial role in my styles creation. My two personal favorites are:

LIQUITEX- Perfect for achieving a flowy acrylic style and even slinging sharp paint lines.

GOLDEN- I rely on their heavy body acrylics to Create bold textures that make my pieces pop when prints are made.

Looking ahead, I’ll be finalizing a date soon so y’all can mark your calendars for the November print drop! I’m meticulously planning to ensure everyone receives their prints before Christmas- the perfect gift for your loved ones that love art- or a well-deserved treat for yourself.

If you’re captivated by my art journey and enjoy reading about the behind-the-scenes action, I encourage you to share this newsletter with anyone who shares your passion for art. Lets spread the joy of creativity together:)

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend.

Warm regards,
