I met Jesus this week.
Well…
The Jesus actor from The Chosen. Jonathan Roumie.
Beloved Gallery graciously invited me to set to meet the producers of The Chosen. Hopefully I can paint something for them for a future release.
Standing there, I kept thinking about the same question I've been asking myself for months:
Why can't my art reach 1 billion people? The Chosen is at 280 million viewers so far.
That's the goal I've set, 1 billion.
The gift I was given is to create work that makes people feel hopeful. To remind them that whatever they're feeling right now is nothing compared to the joy that's coming.
And what do you do with a gift?
You give it away.
I spend my time making videos and paintings for people I'll never meet. The goal is to make them feel something. Seen. Held. Protected. Loved.
I only ask one thing in return.
