My Only In-Person Events... For Now

Before realizing I could get more eyes on my work online, I did a few in-person festivals at the beginning of my art career.

Let me tell you…

I gained a new respect for festival vendors in the “trenches”.

I had my fair share of low sales AND a torrential downpour storm that wiped all my paintings off my display panels.

But,

I met some of the most interesting characters selling their handmade goods and talked to collectors who came into my life just by chance of them walking by.

First festival in 2022

I come from a family of artisans of a different craft. My parents had a frame business where they would custom make and distress picture frames.

Dad would build them, Mom would paint and distress them.

One of the many festival booths my parents set up.

We traveled countless times when I was a kid to all the biggest art festivals around the US. I learned my first business lessons by helping them with their small business.

As I am still in the early stages of my career, I look forward to growing this community and sharing my journey with y’all. Maybe I’ll even set up some new in-person exhibitions in the near future.

See you next Friday,

Sam Ryan
