Before anything else, I want to take a moment for the National Guardsmen who were attacked today in Washington, D.C.
Lord, protect the men and women who serve this country.
Bring healing to those who were hurt, comfort to their families,
and wisdom and strength to every person standing watch tonight.
Be near to them in their fear, their pain, and their courage. Amen.
